MIKE VARELA is a former educator at the World Renowned Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles & Miami. Having dedicated his career to full-time education since 2009 Mike has always believing that "disciplined knowledge" is the key that will help promote a higher standard of quality in ones work. Since breaking away from Sassoon in 2013 Mike has become one of the most sought after Independent Educators in the Technical Haircutting world. With his "Mastery of Haircutting" Education System Mike has continued to travel all over the U.S. & Internationally teaching In-Salon Seminars as well as offering weekly classes at his La Jolla, Ca. academy location. In Addition to In-Person classes Mike launched The Kingly Hair Group Online Academy in 2022, a subscription based education platform, that's has created a large online community since its inception...

We have one main purpose with our education and that is to teach the highest level of technical haircutting available. We understand that the true science behind masterful haircutting is not something that is taught is the American Cosmetology School System
